What if you were told there was a way for you to play softball in Europe, and it could cost you $0.00. Would you say no?
For years we have advised athletes on how to raise money for the Cup trip. We have also had numerous parents come up with great ways to sell crafts at ball games throughout the year to afford the trip. We decided to take things a different direction this past year. Instead of reinventing the wheel, we used a formula that is very successful and gives the athletes an easier way to raise money. Cup 2018 & 2019 Athletes have been given the option to raise money through sponsorships by selling raffle tickets. Yes, you read that correctly, this a sponsorship drive! You’re not looking for people to buy tickets – you’re asking them to sponsor you, and as a bonus they will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win $500.00.
There is no pitch involved. You are not going to be selling cookies or other items. You are asking friends, neighbors, family members, teachers, and others to invest in YOU! It’s not hard to walk up to someone and ask, “I am hoping to travel to the Europe to play softball next January, would you like to sponsor me? Sponsors will also be added into a raffle for the chance of winning $500.00!” It’s that simple. Yes, you are going to have to get out of your comfort zone, but given the option to travel to Europe to play ball, wouldn’t you do it?
-All ticket orders need to be submitted no later than June 1, 2017 for how many tickets you think you can sell.
-Tickets will be sent to your homes for you to begin once the tickets arrive at our office.
-Sponsors can purchase tickets for $5 each, or they can purchase a packet of 5 for $25.
-Each ticket will be numbered and requires the Name, Address, Phone of each Sponsor, as well as the Name of the athlete.
-100% of the proceeds go toward each family’s trip expense; proceeds and ticket stubs must be mailed in at the end of the contest dates.
-Winning ticket for the Spring/Summer Sponsorship Raffle will be drawn at the QDS.s – 2017
-Tickets entered into the Spring/Summer Sponsorship Raffle will not be re-entered for the Fall/Winter drawing.
-Drive for the Spring/Summer Raffle will begin on February 15, 2017 and end on July 31, 2017.
