Travel and Train Across the World With...Danilo Felix
Revolution Coach – Currently with the Tampa Bay Rowdies
Watch The Below Video Learn More About Coach Felix
More About Danilo
Danilo was born and raised in Brazil! He started playing with a soccer ball before he could walk – like most Brazilian children – it’s just part of his culture. Soccer/Futbol was just part of him. Danilo played mostly futsal (not very common in the U.S.) and when playing on a full-size field, he would play the position of center back.
In 2005 Danilo moved to the U.S. and in 2006 he started coaching. After coaching for four years, he went on to coach at the high school level in 2010. It was also in 2010 that he started working with professional soccer in the United States and also traveling around the world doing soccer clinics and camps.
Danilo has done training and conducted clinics/camps in Argentina, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Portugal, Montenegro, Ethiopia and Egypt.
Since 2010, he started serving in a volunteer role as a team chaplain for the Tampa Bay Rowdies in Saint Petersburg, FL. The Rowdies play in the USL Championship league. He also serves the U.S. Soccer Men’s National Team when they are in the area and various MLS teams as well. Besides conducting clinics around the world, Danilo is responsible for the care of professional athletes on the emotional, psychological, their social and spiritual sides.
His main job with the Tampa Bay Rowdies is player care. He looks after the players as people and not just soccer stars, to understand them emotionally, psychologically, socially and spiritually. The goal with working with professional athletes, Danilo says, “is to implement a lifestyle program for their personal growth!”
Danilo brings a host of talents to what we do with the Revolution. He’s a standard of excellence in life skills. He’s a mentor to youth on the day-to-day off-the-field details. He’s a clinician with skill-sets and the ability to grow an athlete.
If you’re wanting to be coached by an enthusiastic, driven coach, that will impact you both on the pitch and off, Danilo will be the one that will make you better – WE PROMISE!
What if I don’t play soccer? Can I still travel on The Cup trip?
We allow friends & non-family of Cup Athletes, as well as past Revolution members, soccer fans, and anyone who wishes to go on this adventure and travel with us (of course, anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult)!
We’ve had quite a few past trip parents and players ask if they could travel with us again because they enjoyed the trip so much! In fact, they still have a desire to watch some games, but plan on spending the majority of their time trekking across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and even England. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy and you have a great attitude and get along well with others, please contact us by email so we can get you on board!
