What is the iQ?
Over the years, our staff has had numerous conversations with College Coaches on their desire to gain insight on an athlete's mental toughness and physical ability. We also saw a huge need for something to help athletes Grow as a Player, mentally, and physically. And that's exactly what the iQ offers! Growth as a player and insight into their abilities!
The iQ offers the ability for college coaches to see what type of athlete they are recruiting, and more importantly, it offers the ability for the athletes to Grow as a Player. She can see where her strengths and weaknesses are and improve on them over the years.
An iQ event consists of a physical test given by an iQ instructor and a Mental Toughness Profile taken online by both the athlete and her coach or instructor. In addition, we offer Mental Toughness Strengthening, and Physical Strengthening before and after the iQ event.
Why was the iQ developed?
We wanted to give the athlete more tools to help her Grow as a Player and to help her market herself to college coaches! We surveyed college coaches and found that they not only wanted a physical test to show an athlete's abilities, but they also wanted insight on their mental toughness!
Who should take the iQ?
Athletes who want to improve their softball abilities, whether it is for summer ball, high school, or college, should take this test. The test itself will not make an athlete improve, however, the test will give you a baseline for how the athlete compares to other athletes across the country. The test will show areas of weakness to improve on as well as strengths to keep refining!
What is the iQ Physical Test?
Each athlete's abilities are measured in the following ways:

What is the iQ Mental Toughness Profile?
We developed the Mental Toughness Profile strictly on how college coaches measure mental toughness, as a result of a survey we sent to them. The profile will give insight into an athlete's "Character Off the Field" as well as "Competitiveness On the Field". The Profile is broken up into two versions: an athlete's version and a coach's version. This lets us see how the athlete views her mental toughness, along with the perspective of how her own coach views her mental toughness.
